About your Inspector

Prior to becoming a home inspector, Suzanne Picard worked as a civil consulting engineer for nearly 15 years, both in the United States and abroad, with significant construction experience thrown in for good measure.  This has left her with a unique understanding of how the different systems of a home work together over its lifespan and a clear feeling that most problems, big and small, are simply a matter of attention and care.

Most anything can be fixed if you know what you’re doing and are willing to do it.  You wouldn’t expect your car to last if you never changed the oil, and a home works in very much the same way.

A Home Inspection isn’t a pass/fail exercise from the perspective of the home inspector, it’s a detailed investigation into how well the home was constructed, how well it has been cared for, and what its current and upcoming needs are, if any.
